Each October, Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) reminds us of the power of collective action—how organizations like ours can come together to educate, advocate, and drive change. At Houston Cares Foundation, this month serves as a time of reflection on our continued efforts to support survivors, raise awareness, and push toward a future free of domestic violence.

But our work extends far beyond DVAM. Throughout the year, we engage our community through impactful initiatives like toy drives, food drives, Juneteenth celebrations, and more—all rooted in our mission to uplift and empower those in need.
