Houston Cares Foundation is a leading charitable 501C3 organization dedicated to improving the lives of single parents and survivors of domestic violence in Houston, TX. Since its inception in 2021, it has existed to walk alongside survivors of domestic violence and single-parent families as they heal and rebuild their lives. Guided by lived experience, we provide trauma-informed mental health support and access to resources that help people feel safe, supported, and able to move forward. Through community education, youth arts programs, financial literacy, and safe housing solutions, we help break cycles of abuse and create real opportunities for healing, stability, and long-term independence.  

Our mission is to provide resources for single parents and Domestic Violence Survivors who are facing economic hardships, as well as building different platforms for at-risk youth through the arts while teaching financial literacy. We strive to be a beacon of hope for individuals and families who are struggling to make ends meet and have been impacted by any life-changing events.
 
Looking ahead, the organization is expanding its impact through live coaching services and youth arts and financial literacy programs designed to promote healing, confidence, and long-term economic stability.

Why should you be a sponsor or donate?

Funding will directly support survivors by increasing access to essential resources, strengthening community awareness, and expanding outreach efforts. Expected outcomes include improved survivor stability, increased awareness of domestic violence prevention, and stronger community collaboration to address systemic barriers.

Funds go towards providing essential services such as food, clothes, life coach support, job training, and educational opportunities such teaching financial and credit literacy and more to those in need. Your contributions will help the foundation make a real difference in people’s lives by providing the necessary resources and products to get single parents and survivors of domestic violence back on their feet.
 
Funds will also be used to fund urgent initiatives that support the Houston Cares Foundation’s mission of inspiring hope, alleviating suffering, and enabling survivors and single parents to achieve their goals. This includes providing access to technology, developing programs for youths, family and individual counseling, business opportunities, establishing strategies and much more.
